Red Gate Farm Anastasia "Annie"

"Annie" rounds out our current group of livestock guardian dogs. When Eriphos Farms stopped their Great Pyrenees breeding program, we were at a loss where we would find another livestock guardian. Luckily Dr. Lee of Petersburg Veterinary Clinic put us in contact with Red Gate Farm owned by the Londrigans, who had Colorado Mountain Dogs. We had never heard of this breed before that time. We have found out what great livestock guardian dogs they are, and Annie has become a hidden jewel. She has taken over the spot left by our beloved Lucy, and is the "'cria' dog". Whenever a cria is born, Miss Annie is right there in position waiting to see her new charge. She then watches over all the cria, checking to make sure that they are with their dams, and doing well. She has become an integral part of our LGD, and will be essential with the upcoming crop of cria.
